Learn to Sew ! Utility Aprons and a bonus Chef's HAT !!

If you'd like to bring along your portable machine to learn to use it, great !  Barbara is a master tailor formerly of Nordstoms, she can help you with just about anything related to sewing.  Don't forget your bobbins if you have them for your machine.  She'll teach you to thread a machine, a bobbin, and to sew a straight line, to go backwards, measure, pin, mark and you'll be wearing your new creation in no time !   We have fabrics to choose from, or if you prefer, grab a yard and a half of your favorite medium duty cotton material and bring it on down to NBACE where you'll learn to sew on your own machine or on ours.   We'll have what you need but if you want to continue sewing at home you'll probably want to pick up the following:  thread, scissors, straight pins, a tape measure, seam ripper, pin cushion all in a little sewing box if you have one, otherwise, a baggie will do !!  

Have your GPS take you to 101 West Rodney French Blvd. in New Bedford.  Once there, please park on the end of the building AWAY from the main entrance.  You'll see an ORANGE door that says Mattress Handup...enter there and go up the stairs.  At the top of the stairs...follow small yellow signs for NBACE.  We're right around the corner behind the mural  !!
