Oak bottom Bread Basket
This is a wonderfully substantial basket, it's so useful for all kinds of occasions. Whether it's an Itlian, French or good ol' American meal, you'll soon get used to seeing it on your table and passing it around in that warm and family bonding way. You can also use it for any number of other things. The uses are endless. With a wooden race track bottom and attractive flat and half oval reeds, it is attractive and heart warming; most importantly, you can boast that you made it yourself. It is a very satisfying project, it comes together quickly and looks so professional, neat and tidy. Leave it plain, or add a complimentary chain row of color. The basket shown has recessed take away handles, which are a rather advanced technique. Ours will be made with no handles, or with added handles on the side.
