Time: 6:00 to 8:00
Location: 127 W. Rodney French Blvd. NB
Fee: $35.00. Includes; Repair materials included (jumprings, findings, new wires, elastic threads, etc. You are also welcome to bring your own wires and findings to the workshop. Bring your own extra beads if necessary for redesigning. We'll have some beads on hand if you need more than a few, there'll be a small fee. .
Broke No More !! Fixing your broken beaded jewelry
Carolyn is a South Dartmouth native with extensive experience in all things art and craft related. Carolyn is a lifelong crafter, she has gone through decades of trends and the classics within crafting and selling her wares at fairs and trade shows. She is the former owner of several restaurants, day cares and boutiques, and is curently the owner of Coastal Creations where she makes and sells her pieces. She is also currently a teaching assistant at Quinn Elementary in Dartmouth, and is co-owner of The All American Lazer Works !! There is no moss on this girl !
This is such an awesome opportunity workshop ! Now is your chance to Gather Up all those broken bits of beaded necklaces and bracelets and pieces that you've been intending to fix that have been sitting in your drawers for (if you're like me) years !! Some of your favorite pieces, beaded necklaces and bracelets may be among them, as with use, the strings wear out, the clasps break etc. Hopefully you've been able to gather up all the beads, findings and bits that rolled or bounced away, or if not, if you have any close matches, bring them along. We have some too. Carolyn and I will help you to restring, tighten and attach findings for future years of happy wearing. Be prepared to help with the repairs. Bring extra beads if necessary if you have them, in case we need to redesign. Bring all the stuff and we'll get to as many as possible in the 2 1/2 hours. Costume jewelry only, no pearls, wire work, metal work or welding tonight. Thanks.
