102 - Card Making Workshop - Stencils, Spraying,Stamping and Printing

Always have a card handy for any occasion.  In this workshop, you'll be guided through the best use of stencils and stamps, spraying and sticking (adult quality stickers).  You'll use papers of various colors, designs and textures.  Through fun experimentation,  exploration and testing, you'll be well on your way to making some gorgeous images for your cards, and even match your envelopes.  We have Ooodles of stencils and different stamps, and 100s of ways to help you create, emote and express.  The cards can be serious or whimsical, heart felt or silly, warm and fuzzy or sent with a Zing but each one is a unique expression and personal "hello".  Some will even be framable and collectable.

Karen Charbonneau Zukas has been making Fine Art and all kinds of other things for most of her life.  She is a graduate of Tufts university and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston with a master’s degree in education from Western New England University. She is a recognized portrait painter and potter and former columnist for the Bulletin in Boston. She has been teaching various subjects, primarily advanced ESL, fine art, writing, test prep, debate and humanities; at universities, preparatory, public, private and international schools and community ed in Boston and now locally for over 35 years. She and her family moved back to the south coast in 2013. She is currently working on a book which is a series of short animal stories from her personal experiences. Have your GPS take you to 101 West Rodney French Blvd. in New Bedford.  When you see a sign for GLOBE FURNITURE, look for street parking.  You'll see an ORANGE rimmed door with our yellow sign over it right after the school bus lot...enter through the orange door and go up the stairs.  At the top of the stairs...follow small yellow signs for NBACE.  We're right around the corner behind the mural  !!
