Mosaic Trivets with pottery shards and glass
Mosaics date back to Mesopotamia ! You can still learn to make them today ! In this 3 hour workshop, you'll learn the tenents of mosaic making, clipping shards, sanding, grouting, burnishing and each trivet will be completely unique from another. You may paint or stain your wooden base, or keep it natural. They're revered the world over as fine crafted works of beauty and can also be quite practical in use. Making mosaics can be quite costly, one of the more expensive hobbies, but taking a workshop cuts down on cost and expense, especially if using broken tiles, glass or pieces of ceramic plates. Learn to make these beautiful pieces and you'll never be without a gift to give or you'll never regret breaking another plate !! Sharing materials is the best way to go.
