Karen Charbonneau Zukas is a graduate of Tufts university and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston with a master’s degree in education from Western New England University. She has become interested and studied weaving baskets and making Nantucket Bracelets in the area and is thrilled with the beautiful and swift results.  She is a recognized portrait painter and potter and former columnist for the Bulletin in Boston. She has been teaching various subjects, primarily advanced ESL, fine art, artisanship in various medium, writing, test prep, debate and humanities; at universities, preparatory, public, private and international schools and community ed in Boston and now locally for over 35 years. She and her family moved back to the south coast in 2013. She is currently working on a book which is a series of short animal stories from her personal experiences. Have your GPS take you to 101 West Rodney French Blvd. in New Bedford.  When you see a sign for GLOBE FURNITURE, look for  street parking.  You'll see an ORANGE rimmed door with our yellow sign over it right after the school bus lot...enter through the orange door and go up the stairs.  At the top of the stairs...follow small yellow signs for NBACE.  We're right around the corner behind the mural  !!
