Sew your own Reusable Gift Bags for under the tree !!

Fabrics can be as rustic (denim, burlap) or as sophisticated (satin, silk) as you like; cotton or flannel even satin works well.  Bags can be as large or as small as you can imagine.  Bring any scrap fabrics you may have (you can even use old flannel shirts or table cloths or even p.j's etc.) We'll have some fabric for you to choose from also.  If you'd like to pick up a couple of yards of festive cotton fabric, you can make as many bags as time allows.  Please bring matching thread, scissors, straight pins, a tape measure, pin cushion all in a little sewing box if you have one, otherwise, a baggie will do !! 

Have your GPS take you to 101 West Rodney French Blvd. in New Bedford.  Once there, please park on the end of the building AWAY from the main entrance.  You'll see an ORANGE door that says Mattress Handup...enter there and go up the stairs.  At the top of the stairs...follow small yellow signs for NBACE.  We're right around the corner behind the mural  !!  

Babara is NBACE's resident Master Tailor and Sewing Instructor.  She attended Chamberlayne Jr. College in Boston and received a degree in applied sciences, later, she attended UMass Dartmouth and received a Bachelors of Fine Arts focusing on Metal smithing.  She has worked in the garment industry, for private clients, Jos. A. Banks, Cherry and Web and became a master Tailor during her years at Nordstrom's in Providence.
